Bamberg is world leader in brewing beer and very famous for his smoked beer.

The Kaiserdom in Bamberg
The cathedral in Bamberg is - beside those of Speyer, Mainz and Worms - one of the most important medieval buildings in Germany.
The Kaiserdom in Bamberg, or simply Dom, sits on Domplatz overlooking the town; it's four spires can be seen for miles around. Originally consecrated as long ago as 1012, it burned down twice before finally being rebuilt in the sandstone you see today during the 13th century, starting in 1215.
The most famous of all these sculptures is the Bamberg Rider (Bamberger Reiter) created by an unknown sculptor.
